Advertisers selected for identity verification receive a notification via email and in their Google Ads account with instructions on how to begin the process. Upon successful completion of the verification, Google will publish information about the account and ad campaigns in public sources such as the
Ads Transparency Center.
Google reserves the right to re-verify the identity or business activity of the advertiser. This may occur, for example, when significant changes are made to the Google Ads account. Two possible scenarios are outlined:
If a deadline is set for verification: You need to start filling out the "Company Information" section within 30 days of receiving the notification via email or in your account. After entering all the necessary data, further instructions for completing the verification will be provided, depending on the account structure, payment configuration, and whether the ads are placed on behalf of an organization or an individual. Failure to do so will result in
account suspension.
If no deadline is set for verification: Fill out the "Company Information" section according to the instructions. After entering all the necessary data, further instructions for completing the verification will be provided, depending on the account structure, payment configuration, and whether the ads are placed on behalf of an organization or an individual. The
account will not be suspended if the verification is not started or its requirements are not met.
The verification must be completed by the administrator of the Google Ads account or the payment profile used to pay for the ads. Detailed information on who can undergo verification is provided in the
instructions for each type of customer.
